What are free foods?

Free foods are fruits or vegetables with 21 calories or less per 100g and are a crucial part of weight loss. Tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumber, peppers, spinach and many more. They’re all free foods and you can eat as much of them as you want in addition to the four daily meals in your plan. 

Why are free foods good for you?

Free foods are low-calorie and loaded with nutrients. They add bulk and volume to your meals but minimal extra calories. Free foods will keep you fuller for longer so that you can lose weight and keep it off. They give you the flexibility you need to transform your body and to make long-term change. How much free food can you eat?

We recommend eating at least 400g of free foods per day, in addition to the four meals prescribed in your meal plan but you can eat as much of them as you want.

How do free foods work?

  1. Add free foods to any recipe, even if they’re not listed in the recipe ingredients
  2. Increase the amount of free foods already in a recipe

Add a side salad to our delicious chicken pasta bake recipe, add mushrooms to our ham and cheese pancake or just increase the amount of peppers and onions in our meat pizza. And that’s it. No stress, no guilt, just a full and happy belly.

Free foods are marked with a small leaf icon in the ingredients list of each recipe, like this:
